Steven Abernathy

Steven Abernathy started his career in 1983 as a Financial Analyst and Senior Portfolio Manager at Lehman Brothers before becoming the Director of Executive Services and Partner at Cowen & Co in 1989.  In 1995, Mr. Abernathy embarked on his own, becoming the Founder and CEO of APB Financial, General Partner and CIO of Abernathy Group Growth Funds, Chairman and CEO of The Abernathy Group Family Office, and Chairman and CEO of the Physician Family Office.  Mr. Abernathy was one of the world’s first 100 hedge fund founders and was rated by Nelsons as the number one investor in the world 16 times.

Mr. Abernathy trademarked several investment concepts and methodologies, including Collaborative Investing© which combines industry expertise with financial analysis, Incentive Dictates Behavior© which explains humanity’s tendency towards activities which benefit the person as opposed to what is ethical and legal, PRŪF – The Science of Investing™ which combines data and analytics with causal indicators as a framework for intelligent, value-based decision-making.

In addition to his intellectual property achievements, Mr. Abernathy has published over 100 articles in major financial publications and has been featured on financial television numerous times.

 

Mr. Abernathy received a football scholarship from Fordham University where he pursued pre-medical studies and graduated with a degree in Biology.
